In my opinion, Youtube has both negative and positive affects on student culture because although it provides a means of student connection about a myriad of scholarly topics, it also can be detrimental to student focus due to the many distracting postings that are omnipresent on the site.

How I Learned to Write

How did I learn how to write? My friends and I always talk about how we will never forget our first teachers in elementary school. Mine was my Kindergarten teacher, Ms. Michaels. It is very possible that one of the reasons I will never forget her is because she taught me how to read and write. I still have, in my basement closet, my first writing projects and first books I learned how to read. I can clearly remember sitting with my best friend Julie at the tiny desk we shared, where we learned how to write. We started off simply with letters, lower case then capital, and by the beginning of first grade could write whole sentences. I can also clearly remember when I was able to write short stories my favorites subject to write about was my sister, Perri.
